Anterior Iris Surface

Anterior iridic surface, pupillary zone and collarette. Radial striations mark pupillary zone. Crenated pigment epithelial ruff surrounds miotic pupil. Trabeculae of collarette partially delimit pupillary crypts of Fuchs. Larger radial folds cross ciliary zone, intersecting circumferential contraction furrows. A short delicate strand of persistent pupillary membrane arises from the collarette above (SEM, X 12.5).
